Multiquip today announced the opening of its new office and manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China.

MQ-Shanghai carries Multiquip's complete line of lighting solutions, trowels, pumps, mixers, saws and other concrete and masonry-working products. It also markets STOW Construction Equipment's concrete and masonry products plus saws and diamond blades from Multiquip's Sanders Saws division to contractors and builders across China and throughout Asia.

"The new facility allows Multiquip to become an important player in China's booming construction industry," said Roger Euliss, Multiquip president. "We're committed to providing construction professionals throughout China with the expertise and quality products that have been a mainstay in North America for more than three decades."

While MQ-Shanghai serves primarily as a distribution center, light assembly of many products is also conducted in conjunction with local Multiquip business partners. The facility is under the direction of Xiwen Shi, Multiquip's Business Manager - Asia.

Multiquip's new Shanghai office is part of the company's continuing global growth. Since the early 1990s, Multiquip has expanded worldwide with dealers now selling products in more than 60 countries. Offices are also located in Manchester, England; Quebec, Canada; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
