Modern Betong knows how to market a trade show booth.
Multiquip's dealer in Stockholm, Sweden introduced itself to visitors at the Maskin-Expo 2006 trade show with the finest Espresso and chocolate served by sharply dressed hostesses, and the new rally race car of ace Kenny Stavbom, whom Modern Betong sponsors.
"Modern Betong had a very successful display," said marketing manager Lisa Möller, noting this was the company's first appearance at the event. "We were a bit insecure about the outcome but the fair turned out to be bigger and more profitable than expected."
For three days in late May, nearly 20,000 building professionals and contractors descended on Stockholm's Barkarby Airfield for the latest in construction equipment, commercial vehicles, farm machinery, landscaping products and much more. In excess of 330 exhibitors were at the outdoor Maskin-Expo which also sported a giant demonstration area for visitors to test the wide range of equipment offerings.
Modern Betong's booth, aside from the tasty edible treats, showcased MQ's Whiteman Series HHN and JWN ride-on trowels, a JA Series walk-behind model, and a Night Hawk light tower.
Maskin-Expo celebrated its 23rd year and with more than 330,000 square feet (100,000 sq. meters) of exhibit space it is one of Europe's largest trade shows.
Modern Betong, located in Taby, 15 miles north of Stockholm, is Multiquip's exclusive Swedish dealer. A full service construction equipment firm, the company was founded in 1994 by Dick Söderberg and caters to contractors, retail outlets and rental stores. It has carried Multiquip products such as trowels and light towers since 2002.
Modern Betong is playing a vital role in Multiquip's expansion across Europe. The California, USA-based manufacturer has numerous successful dealers across the continent, including in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and more than a dozen other European nations.
