Multiquip and Stow products were on display at Bauma 2007, the equipment industry's largest trade show, held in Munich, Germany April 22-99. An estimated 500,000 attendees, including 160,000 visitors from 190 countries, came to see the latest products and innovations in construction and mining technologies. Overall, this marked a 20 percent increase in total attendance compared to 2004 when the show was last held.*
As the saying goes, with a slight twist, "When in Munich . . ." All visitors were welcomed with a healthy dose of Multiquip's German hospitality, which of course included top notch local beers, fresh pretzels, and lots of freshly grilled sausage!
Contractors from all over the globe were able to see first hand the latest innovations in Multiquip's concrete and masonry equipment. Our new B46H90 walk-behind trowels and new SP4030 professional series concrete saws were very well received. The demonstration area consistently drew a crowd of contractors seeking an opportunity to run our popular HHN, HTX and STX-series ride-on trowels.
Trade shows are one method of gauging our industry's economic outlook and Bauma did not disappoint. A survey by an independent firm showed 96 percent of exhibitors and visitors plan to return again (compared to 93 percent in 2004). Attendees were very pleased with the exhibition and optimistic about future growth opportunities.
Overall, the show was a success in every conceivable way. Multiquip posted record sales at Bauma 2007. Additionally, we made many new friends and cemented longstanding relationships with dealers and contractors alike. Mark your calendar and be sure to visit us in Munich during Bauma 2010!
