Recognized as one of the top 25 leaders for promoting outstanding IT leadership in his company, Michael P. Hanken was honored as a winner for the 2007 Midmarket IT Leadership Award. This award salutes individuals who take charge by promoting and executing a broad range of innovative technology ideas that positively impact internal business strategies.
"We are a no-bureaucracy organization. Respect is earned through performance, and leadership is executed by setting the right example" said Hanken, who has been with Multiquip for the past 2 years, bringing deep expertise to his entire IT team.
Michael's 2006 goals were to create and enhance a joint venture with UPS to re-design warehouse process. This would provide the opportunity to function more efficiently, effectively and deliver superior customer service while optimizing the company's productivity. His 2007 challenge is to upgrade an SAP ERP system in order to keep up with future demands.
The award winners were selected from across the U.S and Canada, stretching from the North Shore Credit Union in Vancouver, British Columbia all the way to Carson, California. They were judged based on leadership style, most successful relationship with business colleagues, initiatives that were launched in the past to enhance IT with business goals, measurable results of the initiatives and strategies used to resolve those initiatives.
Michael P. Hanken feels proud to have been selected among a vast diversity of companies that range from health care, financial services to midsized divisions of the U.S. Army. His work ethics and high standards play an important role within the Multiquip organization.
