Carson, CA., (December 19, 2013) – Multiquip Inc., a diverse manufacturer and supplier of world class quality products and solutions, presented donations to the Greater Idaho and Long Beach CA Chapters of The American Red Cross on Wednesday, December 18th and Thursday, December 19th, respectively. These donations were made in support of relief efforts for those tragically affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and the tornadoes that ravaged the US Midwest in November.
“Everyone at Multiquip was deeply saddened by the devastation the typhoon and tornadoes caused and wanted to assist those in need, said Tom Yasuda, Chief Executive Officer of Multiquip. “Our employees suggested a fund raising drive and the company decided to make a matching contribution.”
Employees raised more than $20,000 through their donation of both accrued vacation time and personal checks. Combined with the company’s matching contribution, a grand total of $40,000 was presented to the American Red Cross.
