Multiquip's Night Hawk light tower has answered the call on construction sites throughout North and South America. The next challenge is helping light the way to a prosperous future in a nation perennially riddled with turmoil.

The United Nations Peace Corps, with the help of the Brazilian Army, is rebuilding Haiti - the troubled Caribbean nation about 75 miles east of Cuba. Four Night Hawk light towers are being used for numerous public works jobs, including the construction and repair of roads, hospitals and houses. The completion of these particular projects is being lead by the Brazilian Army.

Staff at Multiquip's Rio de Janeiro office trained military personnel on the correct and efficient operation of the light tower as well as providing the necessary technical information. United Nations logos were also painted on the units prior to shipment to Haiti.

The LT-12D Night Hawk light tower illuminates 5-7 acres. The mast extends to 30 feet (9 meters) and it rotates 360 degrees. The light tower is also stable in winds up to 65 mph (105 kph) and features on the LT-12D include four industry-standard metal halide floodlights, a 30-gallon polyethylene fuel tank for 64 hours of continuous run time and internal lights to illuminate the light tower cabinet and exterior receptacles.
