Today, Multiquip added a rugged, new 4-inch trash pump, the QP-4TH, to its pump line as contractors prepare for the wet season.
The QP-4TH is ideal for removing water with high solid content from quarries, mines and other construction sites. Sand, sticks, stones and other debris up to 2 inches (5 cm.) in diameter easily pass through the pump. This 4-inch (10¼ centimeters) model has a maximum pumping capacity of 555 gallons (2,100 liters) per minute. It is driven by an 11-horsepower Honda gasoline engine and boasts a maximum head of 92 feet (28 meters). The pump will be available with a diesel engine option in October.
The fast-priming QP-4TH pump is housed in a strong but compact aluminum die cast pump casing. The 1.1-inch (2¾ cm.) pipe frame includes four easy lifting handles for simple transportation to, from and around the job site. Other standard features include dual discharge ports for operator convenience, a removable stainless steel wear plate in the volute for maximum operating efficiency, an improved silicon mechanical seal, durable ductile iron impeller, and a re-designed trash cover cleanout with large diameter O-ring for easy field service.
